Every bead carries a story, and each piece connects generations of Indigenous artists with those who come to learn, experience, and appreciate.

We invite you to experience the warmth, wisdom, and cultural richness of Indigenous artistry with us.

Honoring Generations Through Beadwork and Tradition

For many Indigenous communities, beadwork is more than decoration. It is memory, ceremony, and cultural survival. At The Historic Totem Village, we proudly feature an evolving collection of Native American beadwork in St. Ignace MI, handcrafted by local and international Indigenous artists.

Our curated selection includes:

  • Beaded medallions and traditional jewelry
  • Ceremonial regalia and wearable art
  • Healing tools such as rattles and wands
  • Hand-painted hide drums made from deer, elk, and buffalo
  • Driftwood carvings and natural sculptures

Each item is made with intention and care by Indigenous hands. We do not sell mass-produced goods. Instead, we support living artists and cultural continuity. Visitors often say they feel the energy and meaning behind every piece they see.

What to Expect When You Visit

When you enter The Historic Totem Village, you are stepping into a space built on decades of history, artistic integrity, and spiritual purpose. Our space is calm, welcoming, and deeply respectful of the cultures we represent.

Ron Daniels, Odawa artist and Spiritual leader, is often present to greet guests and offer insight into the artwork on display. His own paintings and handcrafted pieces are inspired by dreams and visions, reflecting a personal journey of healing and cultural reconnection.

Our process is informal but personal. We encourage visitors to explore freely, ask questions, and take time to connect with the stories embedded in each piece. If you are searching for something specific, we are here to help guide you.
