Tom Osbourne

Tom was born in Ohio his father was a WW2 veteran, his grandfather was a WW1 veteran. He was a cub scout and a boy scout where his love for nature began. Tom served 1 year in the Vietnam War earning 2 purple hearts. After the war Tom played drums in rock bands. His avid love for nature, hunting and fishing lured him back to the forest where he learned the arts of trapping and tanning. In 1983 he and his wife Margaret moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. They together founded Northern Traders. They were regulars at gun shows and Powwows for over twenty years. Tom became a sought after hunting guide for 26 years in Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Michigan. Tom taught himself the art of furrier work and leather crafting, he has made and sold over 5000 of his custom fur hats and mittens.
