Historic Totem Village began as Chippewa Totem Village and has evolved over decades while maintaining its connection to Indigenous culture. The store has changed locations and ownership over the years, but the focus has remained the same: supporting Native artists and preserving cultural expression.
Today, we continue that tradition under Native ownership. Our current owner, Ron Daniels, returned to his roots in St Ignace and carries forward the vision of honoring Indigenous art and culture. We continue working with and supporting local Native artists and craftspeople.
We believe in respecting tradition while welcoming visitors with kindness and openness.
Choosing authentic Indigenous art offers meaningful value.
